While working as a newspaper photographer, my grandfather Zane Sterling needed a bag that would securely hold all his gear and could stand up to rugged assignments.

Our original pack, the Clear Creek Satchel is a re-imagining of his pack. It was always behind the passenger seat, always ready to go. His had a spare camera body, selection of lenses, tons! of film, notebooks and pencils (never pens), a floppy hat, cash, and a spare clean shirt.
