The Marfa Lights viewing area is south of Fort Davis, east of Marfa proper, and west of Alpine, Altuda, and Marathon.

There's a parking area, empty all day long and then sparsely peopled for a short while after dark. There's not much beyond the parking lot itself. A concrete amphitheater with a desert stage, two open-topped and offset semi-circles.
